Abstract

In Japan, the course of study has been revised for the first time in about 10 years. In the new course of study, “programming education” at elementary school became a compulsory subject. It is expected that the burden on elementary school teachers will increase. The purpose of our research is to conduct and evaluate classes using the teaching package of programming education at elementary school in collaboration with science museum. The teaching package consists of teachers guide, worksheet, materials for presentation, commentary on materials. Teaching package is done in 5 hours. As a result of the questionnaire survey (20 Question) for the students (N=84), The mean of all questions is higher than the median (2.5) in the investigation in September (1st survey). Correspondingly, the mean of all questions is higher than the median (2.5) in the investigation in November (2nd survey). There was a significant difference in all the other questions except some questions (Q 2, 9, 19, 20). From these results, it became clear that the developed lesson package is useful.
