Abstract

Abstract: EASE History is an online learning environment that supports historical understanding. EASE History's themes are organized around historical events, campaign ads, and core values. EASE History features three learning modes, simple and advanced theme searches, resources, and an index. EASE History is a Cognitive Flexibility Hypermedia (CFH) system that is derived from Cognitive Flexibility Theory (CFT), a constructivist learning theory that supports learning in complex domains. The system acts as a bridge between more a more structured standards-based approach and a less structured constructivist approach.
