Abstract

This paper reports on preliminary findings from an ongoing study of teaching and learning in a ubiquitous computing classroom which employs multiple measures and mixed methods to document changes in teaching and learning therein. It particularly identifies ways in which such environment supports unique representations, conceptualizations, and uses of knowledge that the authors argue work together to affect changes in teaching, learning, and classroom cultures. It thus adds to our theoretical understanding of teaching and learning in ubiquitous computing environments.
