This paper reflects on computer-integrated assessment concepts and philosophical underpinnings that were derived from the South African corporate training environment. The paper aims to assist readers in comprehending, developing and executing assessment practices that are suitable for computer-integrated education, training and development. Computer-integrated assessment in the South African corporate training environment is a structured process based on accumulating valid and reliable information regarding the performance of the learner in a continuous basis based on well defined criteria. The process uses various methods such as online tools and strategies to note the results and provide necessary feedback and support to the learner.
