Abstract

This paper describes the North Star PT3 (Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology) project at the College of St. Scholastica. One of the goals of the North Star PT3 project was to prepare highly skilled new teachers who are able to use technology effectively in their classrooms. The project focus was to help foster new teachers who could effectively use technology in meaningful ways, with the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement and meet the diverse needs of students. The paper will describe one education course and clinical field experience that were revised and implemented during the project to foster technology proficient pre-service teachers in the education program.
