Abstract

This presentation will present three views of the past, the present, and the possible future of information technology in education in general and in teacher education. These three possibly widely divergent views will be those of three individuals who have been active in the field since the early 1980s, and who have been active in SITE since it began. Cleborne D. Maddux, Jerry W. Willis, and D. LaMont Johnson will each take five minutes to make a statement summarizing their views of the past, present and future of information technology in education and in teacher education. The rest of the presentation time will be devoted to open discussion or questions and answers by attendees.
