Using tools from multimedia in teaching and learning all aspects of the foreign language greatly enhance the possibility learning/teaching success. This study is to elaborate curriculum design by exposing students to differential cultural interpretations for language education and make it learner-centered, aiming to design an information technology based English course for college EFL students. This study proposes a variety of culturally cooperative approaches via multimedia tools including on-line chatting, interactive audio, and video that reflect culture and utilize authentic language for leading to an exciting and cross-cultural curriculum and creating an authentic learning environment. The purposes are to facilitate foreign language learners' authenticity and autonomy, and encourage collaborations by effectively practice their communicative proficiency in terms of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Implications and suggestions based on the findings are also explored.
