Abstract

Abstract: This paper presents two perspectives on graduate education: the students' and faculty's. What is the level of learning expected in graduate courses that interface computer technology with instructional design? Often, graduate courses using computer software programs are an end unto themselves. Students learn how to use a program and little else occurs. This paper provides a rich discourse to raise learning expectations and focus on instructional design not the computer software that enables the designs to be presented.
