Abstract
This presentation will discuss the integration of conceptual change-based instructional strategies into an introductory preservice teacher technology preparation course. Rarely do current instructional practices in teacher education openly or directly confront and challenge the beliefs about teaching, learning and technology that preservice teachers bring into teacher education courses. This presentation will put forward examples of how instruction can be designed to address preservice teacher preconceptions about teaching, learning, and classroom computer use to help them develop stronger, more constructivist conceptions.
