DD-TPACK (Distributed & Dynamic TPACK) states that “distributing the knowledge across a system of resources is a more realistic depiction of what teachers actually do in the real setting of a classroom” (SITE 2014) and that “the relevant knowledge is dynamically shared among various actors: teachers, students, outside helpers, etc., so that the final distribution differs from the initial one” (SITE 2016). This paper takes a deeper look on what flows of knowledge take place within a technology-based experience and on whether the teachers’ initial command of the Ks required does have an influence on the DD-TPACK approach enactment. The results encourage the interpretation of DD-TPACK as a pedagogical approach that makes the flows of knowledge among learners, teachers and outsides helpers the cornerstone of the experience. The paper is based upon data from a real-life program with Digital Storytelling, through surveys to the teachers, a focus group and an innovative exploratory portal.
