Abstract
This paper is a report on the findings of a study conducted during a graduate level digital history course examining digital methods for graphic representations of narrative information for educational purposes. The authors utilized current digital media analysis techniques to evaluate new tools for educational use with both adults and students. Findings indicate that graphic visualizations can be used with chronological, encyclopedic, and interactive representations to engage and enhance learning. Digital resources can help facilitate the paradigm shift that educators now face in aligning content with digital literacy and disciplinary literacy standards mandated by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 2015.
