Abstract

There are several models or frameworks that concern the integration of technology in the classroom. However, very few, if any, take into account the use of technology by teachers to improve their ability to grow professionally or to become a more efficient practitioner. This paper gives an overview of the P4 framework, a holistic model covering four aspect of teachers’ use of technology: professionalism, productivity, preferment, and pedagogy. The framework can be used by administrators and teacher educators to approach technology integration for pre-service and in-service teachers.
