Abstract
This paper documents "Empowering Minds," a project that has established a partnership between St. Patrick's College (Education faculty of Dublin City University), the Irish National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE), the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and selected Irish primary schools. In this project, we are collaboratively designing and implementing a program for the use of control technology with primary school children, which it is hoped will open the gateways to new ways of learning in schools.
