Abstract
Education is one of the primary mechanisms for creating equal opportunity and equity in America. In the six decades since the Supreme Court declared racial segregation unconstitutional in Brown v. Board of Education, the United States has made much progress. However, pervasive racial injustice still exists in the public educational system.
