Abstract

At the authors university a project has been proposed that will bring together engineering education with speciality in pedagogy and industry experts in order to create material for use in both online and blended learning context. The material utilises various e-learning techniques in order to support a student centred approach. Most material will be delivered utilising a MOOC platform that has been set up nationally. The project has identified the initial challenges for such a project, and set up initial actions, of which some have been completed. One module has been implemented and are currently taught to students using the server, with the students in one country and the lecturer in another. The module is using the pedagogical method of flipped classroom.
