This document describes on-going work on the design of an architecture that connects learning object repositories. We believe that, using a peer-to-peer (P2P) architecture to share content, interoperability comes at a very low price. We target interoperability with both Client/Server systems and other P2P networks. We apply a conceptual framework to the ARIADNE Knowledge Pool System and LOMster.
