Abstract

Since 1999, many PT3 projects have explored the use of online video in new teacher preparation. The Teaching and Learning Interchange (TLI) project combined the learning from those early adopters of video for teacher preparation with the research from WestEd regarding the characteristics of high-quality text-based case study to develop online video case studies and resources for teacher preparation of middle school and secondary math and science teachers. While the cases were developed for a narrow population of teachers, field response has indicated that they have a broader audience with respect to learning about classroom management and teaching pedagogy. The Teaching and Learning Interchange actively seeks collaborators in other subject matter areas.
