Abstract

This paper presents the results of a survey to find out what considerations are necessary for virtual manipulatives classroom implementation. Participants viewed the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives site for potential classroom integration and completed an electronic survey concerning how the site addresses the following considerations in regards to potential classroom implementation efforts: (1) Motivation, (2) Unique Instructional Capabilities, (3) Support for New Instructional Approaches, (4) Increased Teacher Productivity, (5) Required Skills for a New Information Age and (6) Increased Teacher Productivity.
