Abstract
Vocational education should have a dynamic structure to satisfy the needs of the developing technologies, production methods and business life. Today employees are expected to see not only job related skills, but also 21st century learning skills in their employers. In order to achieve this, educational resources and approaches needs to be critically investigated to improve its existing capabilities. The main purpose of the study was to evaluate a new distance web design course for the needs of students in a vocational higher education institution. In this qualitative case study, researcher focused on the analysis of a distance course to mitigate its problems for future studies. Then, accomplishments and insufficiencies of the new design were investigated. Qualitative data were collected with interviews and observations.
