Abstract

This study compares four groups of students studying related courses and the ways in which they interact with the Managed Learning Environment (MLE) Blackboard. All 500 students were exposed to the MLE, as part of a blended learning experience. It is shown that the students on these four courses exhibit a similar pattern of working across the hours of the day and days of the week, although the numbers of interactions varied for different cohorts. It is particularly interesting to note their use of the MLE in the early hours of the morning.
