Abstract

Several companies have developed tools to facilitate the process of creating online courses or training experiences; however, the majority of existing tools do not include access to digital content. At Technology Based Learning and Research at Arizona State University, we are developing a course creator system (CCS) based on eLearning standards to facilitate the re-use or re-engineering of digital content for eLearning environments. The CCS draws content from specialized databases and a digital video library. The system provides instructors or trainers with an interactive authoring tool to select content and activity elements to produce an eLearning course or training module.
