Abstract

Our work seeks to design and develop a tool to enable the learning of human-computer interaction while contributing to a growing and evolving development environment. This paper focuses on teaching students about analytic evaluations, a popular evaluation method that can be conducted rapidly and inexpensively. With our module, designers and evaluators can debate claims about the interface being developed, helping to discover problems with a design—shown in our usability evaluation of the module. We discuss how the module can support design reuse and speculate on broader applications for this type of learning and development environment.
