Abstract

This study focuses on pre-service and in-service teachers' knowledge, experiences, and views of portfolio assessment and its use in school settings, as well as the possibility of applying portfolios in their classrooms. This paper first describes the rationale of portfolio assessment; then describes the research purposes and questions as well as methods used in the study. It also reports the results of data analyses and provides conclusions and implications in relation to portfolio practice and teacher education.
