IDIOMA-TIC is a generic authoring tool for the creation of language exercises. It includes automatic translation correction. Doing this, the program supports an important innovation in the field of Computer Assisted Language Learning. Traditional CALL-applications are "closed": things that are not "hard" coded into the machine, don't come out of it. Through this half-open tool, the learner's input must not be predicted by the developers and still the program can create automatic correction. The tool allows to input, in an easy and intuitive way, exercises and tests, and to make them available offline (harddisk, cd-rom,…) or online through a web browser on the WWW.
