The following is an analysis of the emerging technology through the fairly new development of Web 2.0, and how this relates to education. Web 2.0 contains a variety of educational tools by which educators and students alike can employ their creativity to use these resources to maximise both the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational process. While the technology does contain inherent disadvantages, the advantages are numerous in comparison. The following further considers the impact on higher education, the applications of clinical education and training, how users can enhance levels of educational experiences, and the results of research efforts conducted in this specific area.
