Abstract
Web2.0 is a technology with profound potential for inducing change in the education sector. In academic contexts, Web2.0 applications allow users to collaborate and share information online but many challenges come up into picture like plausibility of data, organizational and technical barriers. In this paper, we examine the usage and adoption of Web 2.0 in learning contexts by Arabic-speaking populations and present propose an overview of challenges and opportunities. We have focused on opportunities to overcome the barriers of usage of Web2.0 applications in education in the Arab world.
