Abstract

This paper descriptively through multimedia e-portfolios chronicles perspectives from participants’ viewpoint of a recent externally funded professional development project to enhance mathematics and science teachers’ content knowledge as well as impact student learning through corresponding classroom implementation as a rich platform for action research activities. Participants were teams of urban, middle school math and science teachers enrolled in an integrated math/science content enhancement symposium to support interdisciplinary, inquiry-based classroom activities across grade levels to establish STEM correlations.
