Abstract

This paper proposes a web-application for language learners to dub video contents into their target language. Although video contents have been used to show the actual situation of using target language in language education, effectiveness of learning by doing rather than learning by being taught has been often discussed. The system proposed in this paper enables learners to dive in to the context of existing video contents, and act as voice actors in their target language. The video contents could be archives several conversation situations, such as business meeting or discussions in learners’ familiarized language. The system was implemented as a cross-platform web-application, and limited its functions for users without having high computer skills.
