Abstract
Today’s educational institutions are plagued with a variety of challenges, which includes the difficulty in establishing a trusting learning environment free from abuses. The Web has brought about a widespread culture of easy-access to all sorts of information reducing the need for learners to perform diligent research or study. We believe that the assimilation of a constructive learning culture within the learning environment will best address these challenges. In this light, E-Learning systems would need to incorporate the monitoring and checking of reading and writing expressions, while guiding students towards learning the rightful skills. This paper describes a learning ecosystem called ICARE, aimed at addressing these concerns. The checking of student violations is performed well within the context of the learning process. A novel approach for handling Copy-Paste effectively is presented and discussed.
