Abstract

This paper describes a professional learning community that was developed through Ohio Learning Network's Learning Communities Initiative grant. The purpose of this community was to develop and implement inquiry-based learning experiences in preservice and inservice teacher education using handheld computers and probeware. Best practices and lessons learned from this community can help educators and policy makers in their decision-making and development of effective professional learning communities.
