Abstract

The purpose of this panel is to explore the possibility of the use of virtual reality such as Second Life by researchers from the US and Korea who are engaged in games and simulation for education. Second Life, as a virtual reality, will be valued by exploring the mutual understanding of gender role, the ways for increasing spatial ability of users, and demonstrating users experience model for orienting students to learn in Second Life. These three aspects on the Second Life are expected to be a good source for exploring virtual reality as a new educational environment.
