Abstract

eTForecasts (2002) expects by the year 2010, North America, Europe, Asian Pacific part of countries will be leading on web and wireless communication. This study intends to investigate handheld mobile net devices and its application in education. The study investigated through status quo analysis, literature review and interview method. The interview process target on students and parents from an experimental primary class located in Kaohsiung County, southern Taiwan, they all joined digital experimental project in that specific primary school. In the experimental period each parents in that class were distributed PHS phone. Through message transmission and mobile net communication, parents discussed and shared feeling with teacher and other parents through using mobile devices (pro & cons). The research summarized their usage and provided references opinion information to county commissioner and educational related officer to encourage further innovative pedagogy use.
