Abstract

With the accelerated expansion of technologies across the K–12 curriculum, students’ opportunities to engage with education-focused artificial intelligence (AI) software have increased. How do teachers integrate PA (Personal Assistant) systems to the classroom? This study examined how elementary and secondary teachers planned to integrate PA (Personal Assistant) systems such as Siri and Alexa in instruction. The researchers identified patterns and trends in the projects created by 23 participants and noticed how they revised questions to adapt to PA’s behaviors. The participants tend to ask more questions on definitions, facts, examples, operations, and spellings. Innovative ideas on how to integrate the systems to classroom learning and the problems or challenges they encountered were discussed.
