Abstract

This paper reports how simulation and demonstration have been used in teaching computer networking and network programming at university level. Some simulation programs are presented in detail and uses of simulation and demonstration in teaching are explained. Because those programs are all in Java, they can be turned to applets easily and effectively used for Web-based education.
