Abstract

The presentation poster will show results of quantitative and qualitative research in the almost unexplored field of potential of www based multimedia learning environment for development of life-long education factors. It was found that critical thinking, self-regulation of learning, learning based on acquisition of knowledge and decreased dependence on teacher have been developed in the above learning environment. Qualitative research shows that students preser clearly organised websites with keys and hints, combination of theory and exercises and www specific learning styles (e.g. choice of hyperlinked learning materials according to individual learning styles). A www based multimedia textbook employing all the research results has been designed, the poster will show comments on their application in the www textbook and practical applications will be demonstrated on PC notebook to show other learning environment designers how to support life-long education
