Abstract

Maryland was awarded a three-year PT3, Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology, Catalyst grant in 1999. Maryland's PT 3 Grant instituted change in teacher education programs by revising existing curricula to integrate technology-related knowledge and skills (in both teacher education and arts and sciences) based on the Maryland Teacher Technology Standards. The panel presentation will provide a framework for integrating the technology standards in teacher preparation programs by providing models and strategies from different institutions of higher education to support the implementation.
