Abstract

Two of the authors of this proposal have observed and studied the peer critique procedures used by a professor of photography, the third author. These procedures are judged to be exemplary and extremely effective. An analysis of these procedures will be presented, along with suggestions and recommendations for adapting these very effective procedures to education-oriented courses that deal with integrating information technology into the classroom. Still images and video vignettes of the photography professor directing peer critique sessions will be used to illustrate specific techniques and strategies that he uses.
