Abstract

It is extremely important for students to develop strong concepts regarding the nature of the objects they are manipulating and how these objects are to be used mathematically. This is increasingly important when the objects with which one is thinking are themselves active – as is the case within a technologically enhanced mathematics classroom. This serves to further underscore the need for increased mathematical conceptual awareness on the part of our teacher candidates.
