Abstract

Web 2.0 technology tools or social media in educational context is gradually gaining attention as it is being emphasized in recent times. This has brought about a significant increase in research on these technologies and their use in higher institutions. However, the awareness of its educational potentials has been underestimated because of its social influence on the day to day activities of people. This Paper presents a case study of students (10) who participated in their learning activities using online discussion forum. This observational study was a follow-up on a quantitative study. The paper reports how their use of these technologies improved their learning experience. The study derived factors significant to the use and acceptance of Web 2.0 technologies for learning activities.
