Abstract

This paper offers a brief description/demonstration of various features of Blackboard that can be used to develop and teach effectively and efficient online undergraduate and/or graduate courses related to the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL). This brief description will show how Blackboard was used to develop and present Applied Linguistics as a course to be delivered fully online to pre-service and in-service teachers. This course is a dually listed course, meaning that it has been offered (with modifications) at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
