Abstract

The use of technology has brought many new opportunities to educational practices This paper described the implementation of a technology-enhanced professional development program aimed at improving teachers and administrators' assessment literacy and assessment practice. Results from multiple measures indicated that the program significantly improved participants' levels of competency in a variety of large-scale and classroom assessment areas. The participants rated the program as very effective in facilitating their assessment expertise and were highly appreciative of the technology context for the program. Implications of the study for integrating technology with professional development in assessment were discussed.
