Abstract
Abstract: Myriad factors influence the growth and revision of curricula for masters' degree programs in instructional and educational technology (IT). Potential curricular influences include accreditation standards, curriculum guidelines provided by state departments of education or professional associations, program review recommendations, evaluation data, and student demand and characteristics (cf., ISTE, 1998; Texas Education Agency, 2002). The never-ending advent of new technologies and software further complicates matters. This discussion provides a model which synthesizes factors that affect the revision of IT curricula.
