Abstract
This paper presents the web educational portal e-teaching.org as the central part of a project to foster the usage of digital media in higher education in Germany. By strengthening media competencies of academic teachers the qualification initiative aims to promote new teaching possibilities offered by multimedia and telemedia technologies. In addition, the target is to provide an appropriate infrastructure for didactic consultation in the wider context of a blended-learning concept. In this paper we discuss the concept and realization of the online portal e-teaching.org as well as the first results of an evaluation accompanying the project.
