Abstract
This paper describes three systems for a computer-assisted language learning (CALL) in a ubiquitous computing environment. First, we are developing an open-ended collaborative learning support system called CLUE. The learners provide their own knowledge about the language learning in their everyday life, share them in the community and discuss about them. This paper focuses on knowledge awareness map and its design, implementation and evaluation. Second, we have implemented a context-aware language-learning support system for Japanese polite expressions learning, which is called JAPELAS. Third, in the environment called TANGO (Tag Added learNinG Objects) system, the system detects the objects around learner using RFID tag, and provides the learner the educational information.
