Abstract
Digital badges are a highly visible way to document incremental, life-long learning that can also be used to recognize professional engagement and achievements. EDUCAUSE implemented a badging program in 2014 to help document accomplishments and engagement within our professional community. This paper details that project and the lessons learned in launching an award-winning badging program; lessons will apply broadly to other applications for digital badging.
