Abstract
The exchange of educational content and services between higher education institutions and companies (U2C exchange) is still insufficient. This is especially critical regarding the increasing and already massive need for up to date knowledge on both sides. Though the required technical infrastructures and basic conditions for exchanging different contents and services, such as eLearning-supported and technology-enhanced, are already available, there is still a lack of applicable models for cooperation and of adequate business models for the brokerage. This article focuses on the depiction of current research results from the EU-funded project eduXchange and thus highlights some results regarding the organization of brokerage services between partners from different sectors within Public Private Partnerships (PPP). Some results of empirical evaluations are discussed while analyzing the potential of PPPs for the exchange of content and services. Furthermore, an ideal scheme for a PPP-based U2C brokerage venture will be presented.
