Abstract
Makerspaces found in schools, libraries, and community centers offer new opportunities for teaching and learning. Makerspaces provide tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and microelectronics that enable users to design and make almost anything. This book provides an introduction to design in the context of a creative problem-solving approach to making. Design tools and key maker education concepts are introduced through a series of design studio projects. These projects highlight a learner-centered approach to instruction.
