The Effectiveness of Language Learners’ Social and Technology Experience in Language Learning

Since technology has been widely applied in educational field, this study investigated how technology can be integrated into language learning to promote students’ desire to learn English. Gardner’s Integrative Motivation is the guide to explore language learners’ motivation after integrating technology and social experience in language learning classes. Participants included 315 students from two Taiwanese universities taking night courses in English courses. The data includes 35 Likert-scaled questions. The results conclude based on conducting Regression Analysis, and Correlation Coefficient which indicate Learning with Technology and Social Experience are the predictors of Desire to Learn English. These combined findings empower the value of technology integration and social experience in enhancing the desire or motivation of learning in language learning courses.
