Abstract

What skills do employers want? Or, perhaps more importantly, what skills do recent college graduates lack? This roundtable discussion will focus on the use of concept mapping as a strategy that can help students develop and improve upon skills that contribute to personal and professional success. The roundtable will explore the use of IHMC CmapTools software to develop enhanced maps that support the inclusion of electronic artifacts, such as documents, audio/video clips, and images. Participants will discuss how CmapTools can be used throughout the mapping process, from the development of a focus question through the use of a synchronous server for collaborative map development.
