Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to report a study that examined the impact of using Clickers technology on classroom instruction from both students’ and teachers’ perspectives. The students in this study came from six high school Spanish classes, and the teachers were from six different subject areas of the high school and two elementary schools of the same school district. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected using survey and interview methods. Both students and teachers reported that the use of Clickers improved student interest and engagement in class activities. Teachers also reported that the use of Clickers provided review opportunities which, in turn, helped improve students’ scores on assessments.
